Etsy gives you 13 tag slots and most sellers fill them by intuition — or by copying the tags from a listing that ranks well, without understanding why it ranks. Tags are not keywords in the Google sense. Etsy’s algorithm weighs tags for semantic distance from the title, for match against buyer search intent, and for competition density across the current catalogue.
The decoder scores each tag on all three dimensions and suggests replacements where a higher-signal alternative exists. The TSV download is formatted for direct import into a tag management spreadsheet or into Elistit’s listing editor.
